Introduction

The UIC Research Informatics Core (RIC) presents various workshops throughout the year, typically in the Summer and Fall. Common bioinformatics techniques and methods are reviewed, with an emphasis on practical skills in statistical analysis and data interpretation for applications in next-generation sequencing (NGS) data sets.

Workshops

Summer Workshop Series

Week-long series that covers topics in R, Linux/HPC, RNAseq, Genomics/Epigenomics, and Metagenomics.
Fall Workshop Series

Month-long series with sessions once a week. Topics include Introduction to R, Quantitative Genomics Statistics in edgeR, Single Cell RNAseq, Pathway analyses, and Machine Learning.
IPA Workshop

RIC hosts a half-day workshop by Qiagen covering the features and usage of Ingenuity Pathway Analysis (IPA)
